What you can expect
Our standard wedding day itinerary consists of:
- Transporting the bride and her escort to the wedding ceremony venue
- Transporting the bride and groom to the reception venue
- If the first journey is less than 10 minutes, we can include an extra run to transport the bridesmaids & pageboys and the bride’s mother (dependant on numbers) to the ceremony venue.
- Second car available to transport the bridesmaids to the ceremony and then to the reception.
This is just a rough idea of the itinerary, and obviously we will discuss the arrangements fully with you beforehand. For example, if you would like the bridesmaids to travel with the bride, that would not be a problem.
If the ceremony and reception are being held at the same venue, the bridal car will wait at the venue until after the ceremony so that the bride and groom can have some photos taken in the car; if required, we will also take the two of you for a 5-10 minute drive to give you some time alone away from the guests and cameras!
A bottle of champagne opened before your journey to the reception provides another nice photograph setting and can be enjoyed by bride and groom on their journey. As we are not licensed to sell alcohol and not all couples want it, we would prefer you to supply your own champagne if required. If you chill it and then give it to the chauffeur at the first pick-up, we will keep it chilled until after the service and will provide the glasses for you. We also think it's a nice idea if you get the best man, or another friend or family member, to actually open and pour the bottle for you.
Where feasible, the car will be decorated with flowers on the inside (these are artificial for our ease, but also means you don’t have to worry if you suffer from hay fever). On the outside, there will be traditional ribbons and bows – if you would like these to be a particular colour, please say so and we will do our best to fulfil your wishes, otherwise they will be white or ivory.
Complimentary water, mints and tissues will be provided in the car, and we carry a selection of umbrellas in white, ivory and black “just in case”.
All the cars except Cassie are fitted with a CD player, and if you wish we will play a selection of carefully selected music. Alternatively, if you want to provide your own CD we will happily play that for you.
